Rental FAQs
What time can I begin setting up?
You may access the space beginning at 3:30 PM for setup. All cleanup must be completed and the space fully vacated by 9:00 PM.
What if I’m running late?
No problem. Please stop at one of our other locations on the complex — Dottie’s Family Market or Dottie’s Crab Shack — and an employee will assist with unlocking the space.
Do I need to lock up when we leave?
No. An employee will inspect the space after your departure and will lock up.
Can I hang decorations?
To prevent damage, decorations may not be taped, pinned, or fastened to the walls or the glass near the bar area. Decorations are permitted in other areas of the space.
Can I use the kitchen?
No. As a licensed commercial kitchen, we are required to comply with state and federal regulations. For this reason, the kitchen is not available for rental use.
What should I do if a guest causes damage?
Notify a staff member immediately and send an email to rentals@dottiesmarket.com.
Do I receive a refund if I cancel?
Please refer to your rental agreement for eligibility and cancellation terms.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Send an email to rentals@dottiesmarket.com at least 14 days prior to your scheduled rental date.
How much will food and beverages cost?
All menu items are priced at our standard menu pricing. You can view the current menu on our website at: https://www.hivecoffeehouseandcafe.com/menu
Is the outdoor patio heated?
No. The outdoor patio is not heated at this time.
Can I use an outdoor heater or grill on the patio?
No. For liability and safety reasons, outdoor heaters and grills are not permitted on the patio.
Where do I take trash after my rental?
Trash may be disposed of in the dumpster located outside Dottie’s Family Market.
Can I bring outside food and drinks?
Yes, outside food and beverages are permitted.
Can I use the café sound system?
Our sound system is configured for licensed business-use music only. We recommend bringing your own speakers for personal music.
Will staff serve dessert that I bring?
Yes. If you have scheduled staffed service, our team will be happy to assist with serving dessert during your 2-hour staffed period.
Can I bring alcohol?
Yes, rentals are BYOB. Please review the rental agreement for all applicable rules and regulations.
